From Timor Ex Guernicus on 13 October 1216, to Johannes Ex Guernicus of the Schola Pythagoranis
Brother Quaesitor,
My apologies for contacting you in such a blunt manner, I had hoped to come to Cambridge and introduce myself properly in the near future; but it appears that circumstances have overtaken us.
It has come to my attention that a disaster has befallen the processional of John, the King of England, in the fens somewhere near the town of Lynn. Unfortunately, I am currently in Cad Gadu and there is no possibility of me being able to reach anglia until the next moon at the earliest.
If you agree with me that this is a serious matter then could you please investigate in order to rule out magical interference from members of the Order.
Yours in Christ,
Timor Ex Guernicus.
