From Alexios ex Jerbiton, Autumn 1238

To the worshipful Sifféd ex Criamon, Alexios Kaloethes sends his warmest regards.

My dear Sifféd, I look forward to having the pleasure of your company at the next gathering of our study group. I am pleased to say that I believe I will be able to attend this year and was delighted to here that you could as well.

It is amazing how the years go by, is it not. No doubt you will explain this in some arcane fashion to do with the predominance of entropy, myself I believe it to be simple business. I find it hard to believe how many years have gone by since we started our researches. Although I admit that taking on an apprentice rather scrambled my plans for a while.

Leaving that aside, I am hoping to return to my interests. I have not forgotten the researches into the Order of the Spheres either, I still find them a fascinating topic. Their ability to manipulate the form of vim is astounding. Have you found their work has any relevance to you?

To conclude, I find that it is often helpful in clarifying my researches and thoughts to write down what I have been working on and that doing this through a correspondence with a peer is especially of use. I wondered if you would honour me with your thoughts on a regular basis, we could look to write at least once in every season perhaps, although I would happily do so more frequently if you would prefer.

I remain, your affectionate colleague, Alexios.
