Some notes on character creation
Magi
Magi should have been presented to tribunal in 1215 (1214 for other tribunals). If you want to come from Stonehenge then consult Heirs to Merlin for a vague idea of what the magi are like, or ask me. Ungulus has no magi interested in taking further apprentices and only Iudicium or Golias would be possible from Blackthorn; likewise the younger magi at Libellus or Nigrasaxa are too young to have been your parens (they are loosely from the graduating class one or two tribunals ahead of you respectively, as is Prelum in Blackthorn). Edward himself is available to have been someone's parens. Alternatively if you're from outside Stonehenge then Edward needs to have had some reason to invite you -- this is probably more likely for neighbouring tribunals whom he might have gone recruiting at.
Players will probably wish to have read their approprate Houses of Hermes book.
Companions
Some potential companions are available in the covenant structure who might have been around for a while, or any plausible idea works.
- Parish priest (St Peter's)
- Senior rabbi
- Turb captain and/or drill sargeant
An ungifted redcap might be appropriate too as the Mercere house is colocated. They have a full compliment currently but would probably be willing to show some ropes to a new journeyman.
Grogs
Many grogs will in general just be represented by a name and personality traits until they actually become personized enough to need stats; but feel free to create grogs if you're inspired. Notably each junior magi will have one assigned personal grog (think valet/maid/housekeeper/etc); if you want to have brought one with you when you came to Cambridge you might want to stat them up (and then hand them off to someone else/the pool -- it's much more fun if these interactions involve two different players :)).
