Detail

• Elaine Cromwell disturbs the magi and consors at Candlemas feasting. Her family has been kidnapped by a sidhe knight when she rejected his suit
• The magi find their way into a faerie realm where the reeds are the size of trees. This changes until they are in fair pastures and a beautiful castle looms
• On the wall of the throne room are the families of Elaine, pinned as trophies. Also a faerie in dark black hunting clothes with red eyes.
• Fergus duels the rejected suitor for the return of Elaine's family wearing her favour. He nearly loses but succeeds in convincing the fae it is better to lose.
• Angelo heals Fergus and they return home. Elaine starts referring to Fergus as her betrothed despite his denials
