Hello Roy

2 -4 Week Potential Price:1.50-2.00

Integrated Environmental Technologies LTD. ("IET" or the "Company") is a development stage company that is rapidly approaching commercial operation. Management of the Company changed the name from Naturol Holdings to Integrated Environmental Technologies to reflect the environmental focus of its two businesses. The operational direction for IET was established in the later part of 2003, when the Company entered into exclusive licensing agreements for two unique technologies with significant growth potential.

Water Treatment: The first of these technologies, a process of water purification using an electro-chemical activation ("ECA") process, is expected to become commercial at the end of the first quarter of 2005. The Company has orders for ECA equipment and is now equipping the production facilities to produce the ECA units.

Electro-chemical evaluation was developed to remove particulate matter and minerals in process water, such as drilling fluids in oil and gas fields. Later uses were in industrial applications such as petrochemicals, poultry & farming, printed -circuit board manufacturing and food processing applications. In these applications it was discovered that the process was an effective disinfectant and germ-sterilizing agent. ECA is an environmentally safe process of passing a diluted saline solution, often as dilute as tap water, through a specially designed electrolytic cell in order to modify the functional properties of the water. The process does not add reagents. After treatment, the solution kills microorganisms in extremely short contact time; it is non-toxic and leaves no synthetic chemical residue.

As seen at the left, the size of the ECA delivery system has been reduced and designed to fit into a cylindrical shaped container that incorporates the cathode and anode electrodes that make up the unit. These cylinders can then be attached to manifolds that provide a capacity range of between 5 to 700 gallons per hour.

The potential applications for the ECA technology are diverse and substantial. The timeliest use can be for military and civilian management of biological and chemical decontamination programs. The solution can be used for hard surface disinfection for food safety in restaurants and food processing plants. An early target use is for poultry and beef processing plants. For municipal applications, the ECA treatment may apply for initial water treatment as well as for wastewater treatment in municipal, industrial and agricultural areas.

IET has entered into a collaborative agreement with Coastal Carolina University, located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to explore product development and market applications for the ECA technology as well as the Company's oil extraction technology. The Company's license for the ECA technology was executed in September of 2003 and to date there has not been time for a through exploration of market potential. The market potential is estimated to be in the hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars per year.

Oil Extraction from Botanicals: The second license acquired in late 2003 by IET is an exclusive license for a new, environmentally clean, safe and efficient process to extract essential oils from plants. Oils have been extracted from plants for centuries, for use in medicines, fragrances, foods, art and production processes. Currently the Naturol technology is used in Thailand for the extraction of compounds and oils for the food and fragrance industries.

Current extraction techniques use chemicals, such as hexane, distillation or super critical carbon dioxide. Hexane dominates the solvent extraction techniques, but it is highly flammable, toxic, carcinogenic and leaves measurable residues. Steam distillation of oils uses an excess of energy and is expensive. Super critical carbon dioxide uses high pressures and is also high in cost.

The Naturol technology is a simple, yet efficient process for extraction of oils from a diverse range of botanical materials. The technique uses ozone friendly solvents to extract oils form almost any raw material ( resins, seeds, petals, herbs). The technology also meets the stringent environmental and safety regulations laid down by industrial economies, covering all aspects of the food, pharmaceutical and fragrance industries.
The global business of extracting/recovering oils and bioactive compounds from plants represents a $100 billion per year enterprise, and is growing. Plant based compounds are used in several markets, including pharmaceutical ($400 billion total), nutraceutical ($50 billion) and flavor and fragrance ($10 billion). Each of these industries is increasing demand for compounds derived from natural sources.

IET has entered into a license agreement and joint venture with the Coach House Group, an UK based company specializing in international geopolitical consulting and licensing of environmental technologies. The joint venture will construct a 150-liter extraction plant (three modules of 50 L each). One of the modules will be dedicated to research while the other two can be used for production. The equipment is expected to be available at the end of the first quarter of 2004.

This technology is also a part of the collaborative agreement with the Coastal Carolina University, whereby the University will assist in identifying plants growing in South Carolina that can be used as feedstock in the extraction process. The University will also assist in the economic assessment of prospective feedstocks and production processes that can use natural plants or agricultural crops for development.

This weekend I'll probably have time to fix up the backup wiki, but it still will be missing all changes from the past few nweeks. O'course, by this weekend the real wiki should be back up, so it'll be a moot point, but still. I think in the future we should require data like that to be posted to a mailing list say, once an nweek, so that we can deal with server loss, etc. fairly fluidly. > But since Wonko Won, all points are destroyed, so the following is a > temporary Roster: > > All players have 0 points. > > Oh, and I notice we don't have the circuit breaker either. I call an > election for the FCC 50,000,000,000 times. I Win 1,000,000,000 times. My win was better than your win! :P Seriously, though, it would be nice to have a good way of dealing with this sort of thing. I never liked the Circuit breaker because it struck me as awfully crude, and it also could be a stumbling block for otherwise-good scams. Like somebody or other said, we need more good scams. At the same time, there's not much fun in letting scams like this appear and just letting everybody claim a billion wins. I'd prefer that the number of wins each player has reflect the number of clever things e's done, not the number of clever things e's been around to mimic. I can see a couple ways to do this, each with its pros and cons: 1) Make a 'patent' system, where a player can patent a scam. A CFI can determine that another scam attempt was too similar to the first to warrant working, and thus can nullify the effects of mimic-scams. 2) Put wins up to vote. Each player can rate each win each nweek, on a scale of, say, 0 to 20. Anything rated below a 5 is ignored and unrecorded; above 5, the average rating is recorded on some 'total cleverness to date' scale. This would also allow for other props to increase cleverness when a scam that didn't end in a win happened. 3) Break ways of winning into a couple of categories, and do a circuit-breaker thing on each category. For example, we could have 'win by amassing points', 'win by generation of unlimited points', 'win by Tildex', etc. > And it's not clear to me that only the last election matters. They all > began on the same nday, so they all end at the same time. I don't know > what to make of that. I claim that they happen 'simultaneously in sequential order', so that they all happen at once, but the effects are calculated as if they'd happened in the order they started. I say this because we have to have some interpretation, and this is as good as any, and also supported by the rules on proposals. > What nday is it, by the way? 2. Well, winning is based on something besides scams; it's based on getting 1000 points. Scams are currently the easiest way to do this, since otherwise it would take twenty or so nweeks. It's always possible to build a scam, but there are Nomics more focused on the process of playing than the creation of loopholes. (Suber originally distinguished 'procedural' and 'substantive' games; a better distinction might be procedural vs. substantive players.) I call it Grumble, as it's basically an adaptation of Kevan Davis' game Rumble (www.kevan.org/rumble.cgi) to a Grid. Because, y'know, grids are cool. Here's how it works: Each player initially has 100 points of Energy, and is somewhere on a small grid (8x8, maybe). Each nweek (checking period?) is one Turn; players submit the actions they want to take for that Turn to some moderating entity (I think Joel has a mailer thing that'll do this), and then all actions are revealed and resolved at the end of the nweek. Each Turn, each player may use any number of Energy points that e has (this doesn't destroy those points). The four uses for Energy points are: 1) Moving. You spend 10 energy and pick an adjacent square, and move into it; no more than once per Turn. 2) Attacking people. You choose another player and spend X energy points to attack them. For each player, we have the player's location during that turn and the location they moved to during the turn, if any; if either of your locations are adjacent to either of theirs, then your attack succeeds and they get attacked for X (where X is how much energy you spent). 3) Defense. You say "I spend Y energy on defense". Then at the resolution, you lose energy equal to the total amount you were attacked for, minus the amount you spent on defense. 4) Super Powers. This is where the game gets interesting: Before the game starts, we all submit 'super powers'. These are basically little rules that players carry with them; an example might be "Regeneration: Each turn, you gain 3 energy". All submitted super powers are pooled together in a big bucket, and one by one they're selected at random and auctioned off. The currency for the auction is starting energy, so the more you spend on super powers, the less energy you have when the game starts. Super powers can be static, as in "Big Beefy Armor: It costs you 20 energy to move, but all damage dealt to you is halved before defense is applied"; others are triggered, as in "Eye-Lasers: Spend 20 to deal 5 damage to any player within three squares of you". Some shorthand is also common: "Spend X: foo" means spend X energy to do foo; "Burn X:foo" means lose X energy to do foo; the "Power Strength" of a power is the amount of energy that spent by the highest bidder to buy it. If you run out of energy you die and are out of the game; you keep playing until somebody's the only one left. I see a lot of potential in this game on a Grid; however, there's one critical flaw: The game needs to be tracked, and I can't do that. I'm basically devoid of free time - this email is pretty much my allotment for this weekend. So in order for this game to work, either somebody else needs to volunteer to run the game, or we need to work out a good way of distributing the task amongst everybody. I'm thinking a Wiki rendering of the Grid, and we either rotate who has to update it each nweek, or we make it a very high-paying ministry thing, with a new ministerial election every two nweeks or so. Also, we need something to store actions and then dump them at the end of each nweek; that shouldn't be too hard, though. Thoughts? Volunteers? -- Wonko "Write a wise saying and your name will live forever" -Anonymous From bnomic-private@ysolde.ucam.org Sun Sep 19 01:38:13 2004 From: bnomic-private@ysolde.ucam.org (Fern Landry) Date: Sat, 18 Sep 2004 23:38:13 -0100 Subject: [Bnomic-private] Bnomic-private s0ftware at incredibly low prices Message-ID: ----2034164746749550959 Content-Type: text/html; Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable TOP quality software:
