This book is on a series of six papyrus scrolls and is written in the
Sahidic dialect of Coptic Egyptian.  The writing looks superficially
familiar to those who know the Greek alphabet but makes no sense.  A
wrapper has been added to each scroll saying in Latin, Greek and
Hebrew:
