Mishek Wolanin is a "Spirit Master" - a follower of a pan-european magical tradition that in places has been intergrated into House Ex Miscallenae. Only he's not very good at it. He claims to be able to summon various things - ghosts, animals, people, magi, and "Airy Spirits" - wierd element-linked spirits that he likes to talk about - but until recently he has only been seen to summon some animals and a magus. Even this is limited - although his magic allows him to talk to those that he has summoned, and prepare wards in case anything goes wrong, he has no powers of binding or dismissal, and the summonees must get to him under their own steam.
Mishek joined the covenant in 1216, hoping for food, board, a small stipend and freedom from distractions in order to have a chance to practise his art. In return, he has three years to prove his worth. After a poor start, he has managed to aid the covenant in getting the Aurochs to the coventant, and in invesigating the strange poltergeists that affect a mine near the covenant. He is generally reclusive, and seems to be highly sensitive to failure and mockery. Under the spell of "Frosty Breath of the Spoken Lie", he claims to eventually desire a longevity potion - even though he was only 25 (he somehow looked older though). He has recently learnt the basics of spoken and written Latin, and has recently halted the practise of his art in order to learn about the legends and folklore of Europe.
Mishek is accompanied by a ghostly companion that he doesn't like to talk about. He claims that it was originally meant to be his ally - however, it only acts as a nuisance to him.
