Nellens Anila Kira is the daughter of Nellens Anila and Milos.

Nellens Anila was an air-aspected graduate of the Heptagram, famous for her translations of First Age and Foreign texts. Milos was a mortal, a medic, and Anila's second husband.

Most of Kira's family died during a plague about 230 years ago, leaving her with two brothers and her father. /Kira's exaltation was tied in with her mother's death. Following this, /Kira followed her mother's footsteps to the Heptagram, although the training she received there was quite different to that her mother underwent :).

/Kira still maintains quarters at the Heptagram, and distant ties to her family who have, by now, entirely forgotton that she never Exalted as a Dragon Blood, and accepts her as another Air aspect.

Upon moving into heaven she returned to the Manse occupied by her previous incarnation, and took up the sword Terminus Est. While she has taken up many of the trappings of her previous incarnation she has a few new traits; she is more bookish, more of a performer and almost preternaturally able to fade into the background - a skill that many late-Exalting Dynasts wish to learn.

While she attempts to imitate her former self in simply intimidating Gods until they do what she wants, she hasn't really learned the required subtlty yet.

Until recently she has been working as a scout for the Convocation of Fire, but her habit of returning to Yu Shan nearly dead has lead to her being assigned to the Bronze Circle of the Convocation, in the hope that this will increase her survivability. In her personal time she tends to be tracking down information on Calibration or the Calibration Gate, playing Gateway-by-post with her relatives or practicing Juggling.

She (to differing degrees) openly wears throwing knives of the four Magical Materials, and it is rumoured that she actually carries a Soulsteel one as well (the party knows this to be true), although noone has yet seen fit to investigate these rumours. She also carries a starmetal Executioner's Sword (Terminus Est), which has a hearthstone of disguise set in it. This sword is like a standard chopping sword, but somewhat longer, and balanced further from the hilt. Even disregarding the fact it is crafted from starmetal it is kept amazingly sharp. The lucky few who see it unsheathed in its natural form will note that the blade is decorated with the five Constellations of the House of Endings; the Haywain and the Sword on one side, the Corpse, the Crow and the Rising Smoke on the other.
